Note: I like to keep my opinions simple and short, a few sentences at most to condense my thoughts.
Characters: Completely normal people in less than normal circumstances
The characters are what you would to expect of normal people. However an unusual set of circumstances (a rainy day) create a haven to bring together a pair of people who are trying to find the meaning of their life. The script and dialogue is well done and both characters become intriguing yet are mysterious that make the audience want to know more.
Story: A bittersweet tale, normal?
If you are used to his bittersweet tales you will find this movie completely normal. Personally I am the type of person that could never get enough of dramas that end in tears and leaves you with a happy bittersweet or happy feeling and this is more than enough to fulfill a 3 month drought.
Music: Emotional, but not anything exceptional
Simply, I enjoyed it. I do not claim at all to be a expert when it comes to music. However the music does well in conveying the emotions that are brought forward in every scene to reinforce the story. I have experienced many emotional soundtracks and it's possible that I even have become apathetic.
Visuals: Absolutely Gorgeous
I believe nobody can stress this enough that it has practically become a standard for any of his movies. So of course this movie also lives up to his reputation. Water has always been especially an attractive medium to me in which to animate and the water droplet effect is simply stunning.
Overall: I can't get enough of these 46 minutes.
This being my first review and after I just watched it and all, I hope everyone treats me kindly and give my points on what to improve. Now that I have just watched it, it might be just the after movie hype that is keeping my emotions running high, but as for now this movie will be a special jewel in my heart.
