The idea of the traditional vampire is pretty much thrown out the window with this one. In fact, the only thing I see in this is the need for blood. Everything else just seems pushed to the side as a half vampire seems to need blood from only one person. The story is much longer then any of the one shots that I have been reading and so the story feels much more fleshed out. You can really feel the tension between the two until the end which feels really rushed. Just because of one little thing, the story ended up going down a star.
The artwork is pretty much all bishoujo, with beautiful men and women throughout it. Still, the only three that ever seemed fleshed out is the two main characters and Tomoki’s childhood friend who I could never tell if it was a boy or girl. Other then that, we had really no interaction with other characters that would have an actual name (Uncle does not count).
I feel they could have made it longer or at least made a sequel to the one shot that would have been really nice. Go ahead and read it though, it is good.
