Mixed Feelings
The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the first episode.... Cliche girl saves boy/boy saves girl anime... Shakugan no shana can't be described any other way. The anime is overall ok with it's good soundtrack and art, but everything else makes it mediocre. The plot is cliche, the characters have no depth, especially the villains. One thing in my opinion that can destroy an anime's reputation is the protagonist. In this anime we have a wimpy protagonist, who occasionally learns to get better at controlling his powers ( again cliche). The characters are just not likable, except for shana because she is somewhat of a badass, kinda... My point is... You already know what's goin to happen after the first few episodes, and then I don't know why they decided to even have 3 seasons! I u have nothing to do an just want to waiste ur time on boring cliche junk then u go ahead and watch those three seasons. Their only attempt at making it interesting was deciding to put a twist on the third seasons by making the wimp protagonist into a villain. No you no what I meant when I said even the villains don't have any depth... Honestly... Knowing how much of a wimp the protagonist was, I didn't even want to think about him being a villain... I dropped this anime in the third season because of that... I really felt like I waisted my time...
