This anime is not like your typical rom-com. It has your typical elements when you look at it first glance but after watching it I had a different perspective on it.

Story- 8/10
It's narrated by the main character Hikigaya Hachiman. It's about a club called the Volunteer Club. People from the school make requests and the Volunteer Club does their best to complete the task. Now, when you watch it. Its not like a romantic anime. I think its was a form of satire. It was their love for being who they were and being proud of being alone. Its more of a dark comedy in the sense that Hikigaya always philosophizes on why society is the way it is. Those conclusions are usually dark and abstract. The story was basically, how the Volunteer CLub would eventually get their tasks done and how each person with in that club would develop chemistry with each other.

Art 10/10

The art was crisp, clean, colorful, and, so, not much to complain about.

Sound 10/10

Same thing with the art. Not much to complain about.

Characters 8/10

Although the characters were basically pre-developed, it wasn't about how they individually developed as much as it was how they developed as a club and how they use it when they're together. If you pay close attention to the characters in this series, each one doesn't really stray from their original notions or outlooks. They just use them differently.

Enjoyment 10/10

Overall, when watching a comedy, you have to put on your comedy "hat", so to speak. You have to think why it has the genre. Its because its supposed to make you laugh. If a comedy makes you laugh, then the anime has done its jon and you as the audience have done our job by reacting the way that it was meant.

Overall 9/10
People tend to have one overall, look, or requirements, when looking at an anime. they don't know how to put on different "hats". What i mean by this is, that when you watch a series like Death Note, you have to ask yourself a couple of questions.

1. What is the intent of this anime?

2. Has it fulfilled its intent?

3. How has it done that?

In this case, the intent is to obviously make you laugh, and to maybe be more accepting of your faults. It fulfilled its intent by making you laugh. It was a funny anime, I can honestly say that i have laughed more times in this one than any other comedy. It has accomplished this by having subtle yet obvious forms of satire along with unique personalities to further drive that fact home.

If you love romcoms or comedy in general, you need to have this anime in your thoughts. If you haven't watched it yet, I highly recommend that you stop what you're doing, sit down and watch this series. It's golden in the realm of comedies.
