In the words of the Nostalgia Critic, "talk about the ultimate, never judge a book by its cover," because Yu Yu Hakusho was undeniebly one of the best shows that I'd ever seen in my entire life. It's right up there with Dragonball Z, but in my perspective, I think it's even better then Dragonball Z.

Why? Well Dragonball Z while it two was an outstanding show and another one of my favorites at that. While Dragonball Z did have a lot of goofy moments and had a few things that came right out of nowhere, (especially; during the Majin saga). Yu Yu Hakusho took itself very serious and told and unique and great story about a high school delinquent who had no responsibility at all in his life, and not only turned him into a hero, but also into a very well respected person. Some people have even seen Yuskue as an icon or role model, and he actually is.

There are many teenagers like Yuskue who could easily fit into his shoes. Growing up without a dad, having a drunk for a mother, having not really any friends, and being taken the wrong way by other people, especially; the teachers who all saw Yuskue as a complete failure, a thief, and totally a piece of trash.

Yu Yu Hakusho was not only a great show, but it was also dark, and I mean really dark. Well, maybe not that dark, but it was dark, and I think that's why a lot of people didn't really either like this show, or those who did like the show would put it so low on their own list shows. However; I think the true reason why most people really didn't like that is because, well; while Dragonball Z did have it's dark moments. It wasn't as dark as this because it dealt with alien beings trying to either take over Earth, or destroy it, along with the Universe, and that wasn't really scary. What made Yu Yu Hakusho so scary was that it actually dealt with the supernatural forces, known as demons, and I think that's why not that many people liked it because of those either being Christians or Catholics and didn't like the idea that a show dealt with the residents of hell.
