Mixed Feelings
So as this is my first review I'll try and keep it as simple as possible.

So ultimately it's a perfect example of a show that could have been great but failed hard. The show is essentially a filler series which has about 5 episodes worth of actual story progression.

The issues I found with it while trying not to reveal too much include:

The Main bad guy dies easily despite being "bigged up" throughout the "series".

Some episodes are really boring and extremely morbid for example episode 8: The spider that possesses people going into there mouth and back out was vial and i felt sick watching it. Another episode, 18 just proves how bad this series is, I mean seriously a talking cat who's a vampire hunter...

As mentioned above, the story does not progress much at all and this is what i feel ruined it the most. The lack of character development aside from the minor parts like Hime turning out to be niceish and Hiro being slightly braver despite still getting his ass kicked the majority of the time makes a tolerable show into a bad one.

The show has too much of a childish feel too it when in fact personally it should have been more dark and gruesome something like Hellsing ultimate; I actually love the idea of the show but it just didn't work at all here. At small points it tries to be dark but then once again a childish theme is brought in and ruins what hope it had.

The characters are terrible aside from Hime who is wasted on this "series". The main character, Hiro is useless and instead of getting better as the series went on he just stayed useless and lame throughout, continually being killed and thrown about like a rag doll over and over. The rest are just forgettable especially the so called "assassins" sent to kill Hime. The vast majority come in, try to kill her, fail miserably and then are never seen again.

The only redeeming parts are:

The soundtrack isn't half bad, it reminds me alot of sword of mana (a GBA game for those who haven't played it) And the themes seem to go well such as the characters getting stronger or bad things are about to happen.

As said above Hime is actually an interesting character and it's sad that this series did her no justice

There's actually some comedic value within this mess, especially episode 25 which is surprisingly amusing at times.

So ultimately this show has the feel of a show you would see on TV channels as a kid like toonami and cartoon network like the first season of Pokemon and Medabots. So to sum up while watchable to an extent i would only recommend it if you have absolutely nothing else to watch because there's much better stuff out there to fill your time with unless you love filler style anime in which case this will be right up your street.
