Kampfer is an anime based on the main protagonist, Natsuru Senou.Natsuru wakes up as a Kampfer, which are girls that have special abilities that are made to fight other Kampfers, depending on the color of their bracelets.He is in love with Sakura Kaede, but she has barely even noticed him. Natsuru turns into a girl randomly and is attack by another Kampfer, Akane. Natsuru saves Sakura from Akane, and Sakura falls in love with the girl Natsuru. The story really turns when Natsuru realizes that he is gonna be on the same team as Akane. But, when he goes to school, he gets attacked by Shizuku. Shizuku is a red Kampfer, but they make a truce and try to reveal the people pulling the strings, the Moderators.

=====================Story========================
For the story, I'd give it a 7. The anime is really interesting if you are into the whole ecchi/harem thing. But, it lacks in a lot of ways. The main story is supposed to be based on the Kampfer and how they have to fight each other, but really the action that the anime seems to entail lacks alot. The anime really falls off later, becoming more focused on the romance aspects instead of the fighting aspects. But, the story makes that up well with good art, characters, and sound. The ending was decent I guess, definitely not anything heart warming or moving. The last episode however, was almost like a bonus episode. It seemed like it should've been an OVA, and had no place really being an official episode and to me who was really excited at the idea of another episode, it let me down.

For the art in Kampfer, it's really well done. The art really holds a nice balance with the style of the anime, and personally as an art snob I have to say it met the requirements it takes for me to enjoy an anime. The art flowed well with the action of the anime.
======================Sound=====================
I believe the voice actors really nailed it on this one. All except, Natsuru's. Natsuru's voice actor sounds like a really whinny boy, while his girl sounded fine. I really disliked that fact, because Natsuru really seemed way to young to me for the situation, but maybe that's just me. The rest was fine though.
==================Character======================
Characters now! For the characters, I enjoyed all of them pretty evenly! I really can't complain, asides Sakura who really segwayed mysteriously throughout the anime. Again though, the main hit to me is Natsuru. Of course, in these animes it requires the protagonists to be the densest person in the world. But, Natsuru was so focused on one girl the entire anime, it really drew away from everything else. I personally loved Shizuku the most, her snarky personality, mysteriousness, power, elegance, everything about her was perfect. But since it's a harem, the main protagonist of course is the biggest idiot in town and then someone who's perfect like her ends up falling for him.

I really enjoyed this anime, although the negative reviews really didn't give it much credit. The anime supplied tons of humor in multiple ways, along with keeping the main aspect of the Kampfers almost as a side plot. Which to me was alright, but I really wish they would've went into it more

Overall, I'll give this an 8. The enjoyment, art, and characters were wonderful, but the story took alot away from that. The story really didn't focus on the Kampfers, and it kind of destroyed alot for the series. Though, good is to be said for the anime because it really pulled through with the romance and comedy. This anime was really made for people who only enjoy these kind of things though, there really isn't much action involved, so it's better if you preffer harems such as these over that. I really hope this gets a season 2, because if it does, the action is gonna be amazing and everything can come together to finally make sense! :D
