Both series include 2 main protagonist that work together to create something, in Bakuman, mangas, and in Ikusaba Animation, animes. Other similarities are that one of the two main protag's in both series are forced into their positons by the other protag, and that in both series, they have overly eccentric rivals that are considered professionals, even though they are both around the same age as the main protag's, that push the protag's to do their best.
