With a collection of its supernatural themes, Rosario to Vampire and Jitsu wa Watashi wa has a story involving such beings. The main male protagonists are normal human beings until their life changes one day after becoming acquainted with a mysterious female character. Throughout both series, there is focus in their relationship that includes a shift between fantasy and human emotions. Their story also becomes involved with other characters to showcase a variety of species from other races.
Both are romcom series where the main character meets a vampire girl, and shenanigans ensue when more not-so-human girls start cropping up around them. Rosario+Vampire is a little more ecchi, and while both start with harem foolery, they eventually evolve, albeit differently. R+V becomes more action and plot oriented, while Jitsu wa retains it's episodic format, while employing more meta-humor and self-parody. Their premises are also kinda inverses of each other - in R+V the MC is a human at a monster school and has to hide the fact that he's human, while in Jitsu wa the MC is human at a normal school and
