One is a cooking manga, while the other involves a man beast (or beast man?) of an uncle. But both at it's core deals with the story of a recently widowed father dealing with the everyday slice of life of raising a young girl (who seizes life by the horns), from kindergarten and onward.

More father daughter relationships that test your emotions in ways you've never thought of. However, the extra lives of everyone around the main trio truly help this show shine, giving everyone development and resolution in their own unique ways, not just through Michiru growing up, as was mainly done for Amaama to Inazuma, which is by no means a take away from the series. Chichi to Hige-gorilla to Watashi took the characters around them to the next level, branching out to link numerous things together, all ending in an incredibly satisfying and wholesome manners, a must read if you liked Amaama to Inazuma.
