Both the MCs live in their own world and have a helpful male best friend who looks scary but is actually nice. They are both funny, but Kuzumi-kun, Kuuki Yometemasu ka? has more romance, while Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge is almost purely comedy. However, Kuzumi-kun, Kuuki Yometemasu ka? is depicted from the POV of a popular girl who likes Kuzumi.

From the protagonist being silent and unenthusiastic to a friend looking like a delinquent. I mean, in Tanaka-kun, he also has a semi-popular girl liking him.

The base premise of male mc kinda similar, but kuzumi-kun story driven mainly by the female lead pov and later on becoming more of a romance. While tanaka being more fun with gag and humor, kuzumi-kun can bring back your sweet days of highschool.
