READ MAGI!!!!! I'm pretty sure most people who read this recommendation have read Fairy Tail so I'm not going to say anything good about that manga because honestly if you don't know how good it is . . . you're lame.
Seriously though READ MAGI. Its an amazing manga that has the same vibe as Fairy Tail. I really dislike the fact that its not popular enough because honestly it should be extremely popular because its EXTREMELY GOOD.
Magi is a shounen manga. Its fantasy, action, adventure (it has really boss magic and weapons --- like Fairy Tail ---- and whatnot)

Let's start by saying this... Fairy tail and Magi are both similar in a lot of ways. They are both adventure stories filled with tons of magic. They are both comradery themed, and their basis is good vs. evil and protecting the ones you love.
Now they are different in plenty of ways too. Fairy Tail is more of an ensemble cast that Magi, but it is also further along. Magi focuses mostly on 3 characters so far but has plenty of supporting characters as well. Both are far superior to their anime counter parts, but they both have a fun adventure feel to them. Magi
