Both manga are about a teenagers journey as he becomes aware of the presence of alien monsters. Both manga are also extremely strong in character progression by showing exactly how each of the characters change and progress as the story moves forward and they come to new realisations. Kiseijuu differs as it investigates questions of what is means to a monster? What it means to be human? And what is the difference?
