One of the main characters in Hinamatsuri is also a mafia member that is pretty "housewifey" type, doing chores et cetera. Both manga use over exaggerated facial expressions for comedy, and the style of humor feels little bit similar. Though Hinamatsuri is more slice of life comedy with wider array of characters and less focused on the mafia aspect, the humor is more about how the characters get into bizarre situations.

Both have a similar style of comedy when it comes to absurd yakuza. Hinamatsuri also has the added supernatural element but this is also used for laughs and tends to have a younger cast of characters

The male leads in both series are notorious yakuza who are really homemaking softies. Both series use this juxtaposition to great humorous effect, but with a key difference. While Gokushufudou's Tatsu lives up to his fearsome reputation, Hinamatsuri's Nitta isn't actually particularly competent; He's mainly infamous due to misunderstandings involving his immensely-powerful, psychic adoptive daughter.
