Romantic comedy of several pairings within a group of friends. Both also centers on otaku culture, in which the characters in Wotaku are anime or game otaku, and the characters in Gekkan Shoujo write manga. Wotaku is set in an office and the romance is more progressed, while Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is set in school. However, both series have similar atmosphere being a light read comedy with unique and lovable characters.

Comedic relief, funny with short parts here and there, but for wotaku ni koi wa muzukashii, the relationship does exist and seems to develop. (side character's relationship is equally cute to the main one)

A legitimately funny romantic comedy. The romance is much more fast paced in Wotaku if you are missing that in Nozaki-kun. I also love every character in both series which is a rarity for me.

They're both mainly rom-coms and both have a lot of slowburn. In gsnk the protagonists aren't in a relationship right away, however that isn't the case with wotakoi.
