W Juliet II has similarities to The One because it deals with the problems of being in the modeling and acting industries and the stress it puts on those people's relationships. Also readers of The One will notice similarities to some characters in the W Juliet series such as male models that have a feminine look but are not in fact gay. W Juliet II has the couples continuing adventures once they enter the working world but it cannot be read as stading alone
