Both of them are similar because they involve big powerful creatures that are dangerous for the human race.
The stories of both of these mangas are different and treat different topics but they give the same feeling when reading them and I am pretty sure you will enjoy one if you enjoyed the other.
The art is pretty good in both of them (better in Hakaijuu imo) and the stories are pretty easy to follow.
