Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo

Taking place in a school life setting, Iris Zero and Yamada-kun has supernatural elements in their story. Both series' main female protagonists has an unique gift while there are also others with a variety of powers. There is a decent amount of characterization and relationship building as well in their stories. Later on, romance even blooms between the main characters as they learn more about each other. Do note that Iris Zero has a more psychological style of storytelling while Yamada-kun puts more emphasis in humor.
Uncanny resemblance; the protagonist is a loner with no friends at school and the first friend he makes is the most popular girl in school. The school in Yamada-kun has witches with their own unique abilities and Yamada (who has an ability of his own) uses his to try to "save" the different students at school, just like Toru. Both are very funny mangas with quiet and sweet touches of seriousness. The main couple gets into the whole will-they/they-can't loop with both unable to say their feelings out loud. recommended.
