Both novels has mystery and supernatural theme. The protagonists of both series consists of a kind guy, a mysterious girl, and a woman who employed them. They had to deal with supernatural phenomenons in their jobs.
One of the protagonist of both series also have mystic eyes. One of them has the ability to foresee the events that causing the death of someone close to them (like 6th sense), the other can see the mortality of everything in this world in form of lines.

Both mystery/supernatural series with a trio of main characters with one being a main female who employed the other two (one kind male, one mysterious female respectively).
The main characters (Shiki Ryougi from KnK and Tokiya Kurusu from Tsukumodo Antique Shop) both have mystic eyes of different sorts that are used to help with their line of work. In Tokiya's case, to foresee events into the nearby future of potential death to people close to him and prevent problems from occurring and protecting people close to him, and in Shiki's case, to see lines of death and kill the phenomenon that causes problems.
