For those who've only seen the movie of Nausicaa may question this reccomendation. however the manga is completely different from the anime. Both Berserk and Nausicaa are bloody, there's a lot of wars, fighting and action. also a lot of wierd and interesting shit happens. with berserk its demons and monsters, in nausicaa its monsters, giant bugs that have a great link to the earth and immortal kings that breed unhuman warriors. Most importantly they both have a very, very great plot and storyline.

Both manga are in fantasy settings, though Nausicäa's is a high fantasy whereas Berserk's is a dark fantasy one. They feature magnificent and organic worldbuilding, where the reader can feel the environment's influence at all times. They are also rather violent and gorey at times (of course, Berserk even more given its horror elements), feature large scale battles and offer multiple questions on humanity's nature. Nausicäa apppealed more to me, among others because of its massive spectrum of ideas and its philosophical elements.

While at a glance the "dark fantasy" of Berserk may not seem a good match with Nausicaä's more environmental sci-fi/fantasy, the stories have several major similarities. -An amazing depiction of war, both in the action & combat, as well as the effects of war on the world and civilians. -"hope" as a leading theme for the characters and story. -Amazing art. -Incredibly fleshed out worlds and extremely engaging world building. -A fun and interesting cast of characters that extends far beyond MCs Guts and Nausicaä.
