Both take place in England and contain fairies and such that adds to the Fantasy genre.
Both also has romance and the story starting out with the main male character saving the main female character.
When I was reading Mahou Tsukai no Yome I had the same feeling when I was reading Hakushaku to Yousei.
they both have to do with magic and both take place in england. Hakushaku to Yousei takes in the past though, and Mahou Tsukai no Yome takes place in the present.
Both are very good and I reccomend it to anyone who loves fantasy and Mahou Tsukai no Yome
