Both mangas have a very complicated love triangle/rectangle relationship between childhood friends. Also, the drama "really" starts when a new girl appears and really messes with everyone's feelings.
On a small side-note, Suki desu Suzuki-kun is longer (several volumes) and really goes in-depth about the relationships and their lives. I guess it can be described as more mature....as in dealing with more mature topics (separation, in-secureness, memory loss, growing up, etc.) rather than Dear!'s love between friends.
