Both are supernatural based stories with a focus on relationships as well as a cheerful female mc who makes the best out of any situation she is in. And also really nice art and character designs to look at.

Fruits Basket and Twin Spica are two manga series about an innocent, brown-haired girl who has also lost her mother due to an accident. Despite that, she manages to keep some hope with some ambitions in mind. The story follows her daily life with the people she meets, but there are also some supernatural elements (there's a curse that FuruBa's protagonist has to hide, while Twin Spica's protagonist is the only one who can see a ghost that follows her) within a fairly tragic story.
