You won't be able to see to much simmarites in the Anime & OVA until a little bit into them. They are both really Heartbeaking romance stories. Allthough Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora is directed more towards the teenage audience and Progressive is something alright for everyone to see.. They are both great shows and both have the potential to bring out your tears.

Fans of one will surely love the other.. The Anime & OVA are both great and it is truly a great loss not to see either of them..
