Has a pretty similar feel, even music wise (same soundtrack composer). There are no boys either.

Do you like an amazingly written plot which actually moves forward very subtly and an outstanding cast of cute, all-female characters? Both K-On as well as New Game have this in store for you! The series are both lighthearted comedies that feature cute girls doing cute things. Despite being slice of life anime, they both have a slowly advancing plot. In both shows, the main character joins a group of girls and they end up working towards a common goal. If you enjoy watching lighthearted anime with cute girls in them, you'll probably like both shows.

K-On! is about the normal daily life of high school moe girls, while in New Game! we follow Aoba's story at at Eagle Jump, the company responsible for making her favorite video game, right after she graduates.
