Both have a very young boy (age10/12) leaving home and taking on the world to be the best at what they do and follow their dreams.
Both have action, fighting, adventure, tournaments and friendship. They have a similar feel and similar art style, if you love one you will most likely enjoy the other.
Both feature children main characters. Both have monsters. They are both long stories.
