2. In my mind Minori (from Torador!) has some similar traits with Inaban (Kokoro...) and with Nagase Iori (Kokoro...).
3. Happy end with no happiness for some brightful characters.
4. Genres.
5. Evokes similar thoughts.
Both anime are about a group of five people dealing and helping with each other's psychological problems, with romances breaking and developing in the meantime.

If you love the drama of Toradora, Kokoro Connect might be a good shot. They both are good in the drama genre as you can really feel both sad and angry while watching

Both based in school, both have emphasis on character's internal development and emotions. Both have lighter and humorous parts supplementing the themes. Both are generally pretty good series.
Both have groups of five friends with the same gender makeup, leading to almost parallel dynamics. We get a love pentagram of sorts in each show, so both remain undoubtedly interesting. Kokoro throws in a bit of tasteful supernatural to augment the otherwise standard slice-of-life rom-com experience of Toradora.
