Both series are renditions of their video game counterparts and focus mainly on the story.

Both series have similar animation and art styles. The action scenes are very fluent and have amazing use of the skills used within the video games.
Both series have interesting characters that all share an ambition to save the world. The characters all have unique personalities who all have gone through many troubles throughout their lives.
