Both feature characters that come together to face tribulations of the music scene. The performances are mainly sung in English (with some exceptions) and both have similar ensemble of characters that support each other in their rise to stardom in the social media age.
The showcase of song genres from both shows range from contemporary Pop, Indies, R&B, EDM and Rap; performed by famous singers and performers from around the world (and Youtube space). Carole & Tuesday have a Sci-Fi take; whereas Ya Boy Kongming is more of a Reverse Isekai / Tensei genre.
Both stories are about a music artist(s) who try to make it big but start from the bottom.
We follow them along their journey as they rise to fame.
