Both shows are isekai with a fantasy setting that also prominently feature cooking and food preparation as a main story element.
Cooking is main focus for both, and the overall pacing and tone is very similar. Shokudou is more "static", being based in a restaurant environment, and not on travel, but it has bigger cast with a lot of interesting characters to add outside perspective.
Both are fantasy and Gourmet. One is slice-of-life and the other is adventure. It's kinda fun to watch.
They both center around food and have fantasy creatures gushing over how good real Earth food is. They both have a laid back vibe with no real danger and are mostly a device to have people react to yummy food they have never tasted before. Campfire cooking has a little more adventure and progression, while Isekai Restaurant is episodic with a large varied cast and no central story.
Cooking Japanese food for fantasy world audiences. One is in a restaurant setting, the other is a portable camping setting. Campfire cooking also has more main character depth and story, versus one-off stories about diners.
