Both shows are cute and focus about a group of characters who love games. New Game! is more slice of life and comedy, while Gamers is just comedy. Both casts are very lively and fun to watch. Gamers also tries to show couples with two parties that both love games, while New Game! has an all girls cast, unless you read the one manga chapter that has 1 guy (sorry for the spoiler, but it shouldn't be a big deal). The art style is cutesy in both anime. There are fun antics between the cast members in both shows.

New Game! is a slice of life anime about a girl who just graduated high school and went to work on a video games company as a designer, in order to achieve her dreams and goals she'll have to overcome many challenges on the way.
This anime has a very simple plot but that is what makes it unique and great, you can feel this show was made with love from the beggining till the very end as it's filled with details and a lot of things that really make a difference. For slice of life fans or gamers overall (specially jrpg fans) I definitely recommend
