the crimson(red) night? The moon? the heroine? it's obvious. Yuka and Elis have similar personalities and how the male protagonist protects the female heroine....The magic are quite similar in a way, except that 11eyes is more newer with it's character design and animation compared to Night wizard, but you'll like both!
Both animes are similar in a sense that both of them have characters that go to and fro the real world and the parallel dimension to fight against oni/demons.

Both animes have a group of students with super-powers. They fight against monsters/things that only appear when the sky is red and the moon up there.
Both have supernatural events going on around the world with meddlesome teens stopping them. For what reason? Who knows, neither of the two seem to have immediate impact on the "real world". It's not until the plot thickens that the consequences of what the bad guys are doing becomes apparent. Also, both have the bad guy take over one of the heroines. And for some reason, I think both have the same feeling to them.
If you're looking for some supernatural action with a cast of contrasting characters, then these two series might be worth checking out because...
- both involve students forced to fight against enemies w/hidden powers
- similar premises
- action, drama, comedy, and some psychological themes in later episodes
