Both shows have a female main character who can see ghosts and spirits.
While Miko from Mieruko-chan can see from only the beginning of the series, Sakura Mamiya can see them since she was a child. This makes both protagonists unique from each other.
Even though both series are technically comedies, their tones can vary a lot. Mieruko-chan takes its horror aspects more seriously.
But Rinne doesn't have much horror at all. It mainly relies on physical comedy and oddball characters that you won't see in other shows that often.
