Hibike Euphonium and Hana and Alice are similar in a few ways. They are both melodramas which have a focus on friendship. However, friendship isn't Hibike Euphonium largest focus, the school band is. They both have made the characters feel more natural than most anime, but Hibike Euphonium is slightly more on the "artificial" side.
