'Love' became problematic between the characters, who tried to get close to a person, or completely messed up on what they are trying to do. The school romantic comedy mostly involved characters who are caught up in a situation when it comes to love. Though they usually try it again to make it smoother, but sometimes it won't get pass to the point.

School Rumble and Acchi Kocchi are both about a girl who is seriously in love with a guy, but just can’t seem to confess her feelings to him. The male love interests in the two anime have very similar personalities: emotionless to the point where it actually becomes funny. Both heroines have seriously WTF hair styles: Tenma has her small twin-tails that twitch up and down to show emotion, while Tsumiki has her spiral hair antenna that is longer and crazier than the hair antennae that’s pretty common in anime.
