I get a similar feeling when i watch wotaku, how the characters act, the humor, the music, the artstyle. so if you enjoyed nozaki-kun you will definitely love this show!
Both have a similar shoujo-esque feel to it. Quirky characters with only a few traits but they work just fine in the setting of the show and fill their roles decently. Inoffensive and lighthearted, both shows are basically the definition of "playing it safe" as far as comedy goes.
Both are slice of life rom coms in different settings (schools vs. workforce), but a similar feel and humour. Characters are all endearing with their unique 'obsessions'.
Similar funny atmosphere. Romance is displayed and the characters love their hobbies and they are doing their hobbies every single day.
I feel the same atmosphere as in Gekkan Shoujo. Also, you can easly link the main characters. The main diffrence will be the age of the characters : there are elder in Watoku.
Manga plays a huge part in both of these. While Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is in a school enviornment, Wotakoi is in a workplace. However, as both are romance, the characters in both animes bond over manga, and from there, their relationships grow. Both are a good watch and very entertaining if romance and comedy is your thing.
Both have characters who's love for anime and manga are significant in the show. Wotakoi touches on the anime and gaming side, whereas Monthly Girls Nozaki kun focuses more on manga.
both have the weeb thing in them.
both are very slow burning romances where the girl is afraid to confess/progress her feelings/relationship with the guy. they have the same comedic feel to both and likeable side characters with side plots relating to manga/anime.
both animes are very funny and can be easily marathoned. And show lots of manga and anime references
literally the exact same character's dynamics.
both have boring main couples
meanwhile, both have such hilarious side-characters that u'll care a lot.
the plot isnt the same, but its really alike.....
by the way, wotaku is really funny, but i didn't enjoyed gekkan. its upon to you to give it a try.
