Space☆Dandy

They are both completely random, not requiring any concentration, with big explosions and over the top fights accompanied by an upbeat sound track. Space Dandy is a bit easier to understand but if you enjoyed one, you'll probably enjoy the other.
Animators and wrtiers being told to do whatever they want; both end up pretty entertaining, parodying a few things along the way. Once or twice may make you think about something else than what's happening on the screen. Certain scenes look abolutely stunning.

Two of the most psychedelic series I have come across. Fast paced, inventive, and beautiful. Space Dandy leans more towards the episodic and aphoristic, while FLCL is raw and unbridled.
Both extremely off the wall and crazy at times, this one isn't something you should take seriously.
