Parasites have one thing in common with normal titans! they eat Humans to survive!
In Parasyte the Main Character his right hand possessed by a parasite due to incapability to get into the Human brain! And now they need to survive in a world full of parasites. And the parasite in his hand is slowly becoming human while the Main Character slowly turning into a monster!
Just like in the final season of Attack On Titan, In order to survive the world full of Titans they need to find an answer on how or when the Titans came from!

Although Parasyte is far more comparable to Tokyo Ghoul when it comes to Superpowers and stuff, It has some great parallels with Attack on Titan Both series try to depict humanity in a complex light and actually leave you with a lot of existentialism. They'll leave you questioning everything at times with some deep layered philosophy.
Also the reason I specifically chose S4P1, is because the MCs in both of these have some really strong character turns.
