No Game No Life, Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka Recommendations
Aside from the obvious MMO-inspired setting, they also share a somewhat earnest realization for what their reasoning for being made was. Where No Game can be seen as self-aware, Danmachi seems to have no pretense to just being escapist, fantasy empowerment. Vivid animation, in-world game stats to move the plot forward and a shameless disregard for fanservice. If a less conceited MMO entry is what you want, then give either of these a try.
Living in a game, a little of fan service over there and an interesting plot. This is what these two anime is all about.
It's practically the same concept, only a lot more wittier and intelligent when it comes to the writing. I prefer the action scenes in Danmachi a lot more cause they remind me of Ragnarok the anime in some form or another, but these two are pretty spot. Rather than the main character be one person, it's actually a pair of step-siblings with separation anxiety that get transported to a world where everything is decided on a bet and a game, as well as a couple of crazy rules. My only gripe with both of these series is the way they end. Both end on pretty

-No Game No Life involves blood related siblings while in Danmachi it is a Goddess X Child relationship.
-NGNL's MCs are geniuses who beat other people easily, strategically and perfectlly while on the other hand, Danmachi do contain a Lazy Goddess and a Hardworking Adventurer who seeks to be a "Hero"
-NGNL's features chess as their gameplay and key to every problems they would have while Danmachi, it does have the usage of weapons such
