Their premise is so similar it's scary.
Firstly, both are about laboratory experiments and genetically altered/manipulated people (Diclonius/Euphoria) who have lethal super powers.
You'll find action, drama, mystery and a rather unique storyline with plenty of twists.
But, above all, they involve a tragic relationship between a brother and his little sister, and have carillons in a crucial role.
They are indeed extreme, having lots of violence, gore and nudity, several grotesque or disturbing scenes, and can be considered gratuitous and vulgar by many, which is why they're not for everyone; if you can pass over these things, both anime, despite their flaws, are enthrilling and worth a watch.
