A bunch of highschool kids have to kill someone to "succeed" while following certain rules.
In Dangan Ronpa, they're stuck in a school and they're only chance of escaping is to kill someone without being caught, while in Akuma no Riddle the whole class as the goal of killing a fellow classmate so they can be granted anything they want.

'Special' students are gathered to kill. Although in Akuma no Riddle students are professional assassins while in Danganronpa they are successful in one kind of activity.
Both Anime series have the same concept about a headmaster's gathering students to kill
But unlike Akuma's students, Danganronpa's students are regular students and don't know how to kill.

Both involve a class against one another, only in one its 11 assassins vs 1 girl and her protector, while in the other it's a free for all.
This was a very fun anime since i very much enjoyed that the character development was one character per episode along with their own ending.
Similarly to Dangan Ronpa you must kill to graduate but unlike in DR this is a class of assassins and one target and th killer with a successful assassination will have any wish granted

Danganronpa is a very special anime; however, Akuma no Riddle offers a similar feeling.
In both anime, there is a class of Elite high-school kids, unique in appearance and in skills, that have to kill. However, in Danganronpa, the students have to kill one of their classmates and get away with it to graduate while in Akuma no Riddle, if assassins fail in killing her, the victim will graduate.
Both anime give a dark and horror feeling, so if you liked Danganronpa, you will like Akuma no Riddle!

There is a very similar feeling in both. They both involve a bunch of people with many different personalities whose main focus seems to being killing each other while being observed by someone.

About conniving characters who try to assassinate based on their own personal gain. In both cases, it is all about killing to participate in mind games.
Akuma no Riddle is really about 1 target, and everyone else is a professional assassin
whereas Danganronpa, killing is forced upon, and different characters fall victim or be part of the guilty part in conjunction with an investigation phase.

Both are battle royal anime, class full of people trying to kill someone. Both have character with split personalities.
Wish it was similar in animation as Danganronpa but sadly it isn't. has similar character roles and emotion that gives you a psychotic feeling, a cheery feeling and a gory feeling. both have similar plot where you got to kill to survive (I think) and to find the odd person but for Donganronpa you find out who's guilty and sentence them to death. only Akuma no Riddle have the genre of yuri.
Both animes are similar to each other. They are both staged on a very special school where they have to murder each other to graduate from that school. In Danganronpa they have to murder each other without making yourself the suspect of murder. In akuma no riddle you have to assasinate 1 person, if you fullfill that wish, you win. the animes differ in genre, akuma no riddle: Action, School, Shoujo Ai, Danganronpa: Action, Mystery, Horror, Psychological.

This is pretty much the yuri-fied version of Dangan Ronpa. Except 11 women are targeting one woman and another woman protects her. And they can actually go outside. Murder attempts are shown, so, you know it's going to be intense!
* Both are highschool battle royale cartoons...
* Both has characters with second personalities...
* Both has pretty nice deaths of some characters...
* Lots of trashtalking between MC's and supporting cast..
* The art style in both cartoons are somewhat different from other cartoons..
* Really nice BGM's...(fitting these cartoons perfectly)
* Both has not so great endings...(seriously what they were thinkin' ???)
! Akuma no Riddle is better than Danganronpa ( just yuri-ism :p )
If you're a fan of battle royales, guilty pleasure-level plot twists, and/or large, well-developed casts of characters, you'll probably love Dangan Ronpa or Akuma no Riddle.
High School is hard enough as it is, but having to kill one's classmates is a whole new level of stress. The situation seems messed up, but by the end, what's really going on turns out to be darker than anyone could have imagined.

The story lines in these two animes are very similar. The characters get accepted into high schools which they think are completely normal but when they arrive, they get placed in a classrooms where they have to murder each other to reach a goal. The art style in both animes are somewhat different from other animes; very unique.

School kids become murderers(well Akuma´s girls are profesional murderers), that's the fact.
-Both are about killing a classmate, in Danganronpa they have to kill any of the others without being busted to escape, in Akuma no Riddle, all the class have to kill 1 girl (they are all girls in this anime) to get a wish, but one of those girls will try to protect her.
-Danganronpa has a better history but Akuma´s is not bad
-Both have surprising finals, but danganronpa´s seems not to be ended

Both are about murder, and you don't know who is the killer, or the one trying to kill.
I watched these series back to back and I felt no change in the atmosphere. Both seem light hearted but made me slightly terrified and absolutely heart broken since both were split into cruel tasks with gut wrenching deaths. The ending of both series was an ending anyone would hope and wish for and both series really blew me away while being much much much better than I had originally expected.
-Both anime tell about a group of students that try to kill each other (except AnR, just to kill one student) in order to achieve the goal (graduate).
-Both anime take place in school/academy area.
-As the story goes, the number of characters reduced because getting killed, eliminated, or other factor.
sort of a yuri version of danganronpa. killing in a school to get out/graduate.

These shows are similar because a bunch of high school students are told to kill someone/everyone, and they have to do it in secret, otherwise they are killed/expelled.
Same similar purpose for the plot/story where they struggle and compete against each other to live or to accomplish a certain purpose. I've always been interested in survival games like Danganronpa and Akuma No Riddle. Though in this anime, all the main characters are female and it's the same killing game but there are no class trials or any similar things. Though in this anime, if one them fails the game, then the loser will not be punished/executed but to be expelled from the school.

In both of the animes all the main characters are students, also in both they should success in killing other student as them in the school.
But while in akuma no riddle they have rules to be available to kill in Danganrompa they can kill whenever they want, the only thing you need is to not being found
