Both animes treat about a normal teenager who one day is involved in a fight against a monster (a chiropteran in Blood+ and a parasite in Parasyte) and is helped by a character who later turn into its inseparable partner (Haji in Blood+ and Migi in Parasyte). After this moment, both protagonists develops supernatural abilities and decides to fight against the monsters to protect their loved ones after losing one member of their family.
