Street Fighter and Fatal Fury were both extremely important franchises to the development of the 2D fighting games in the early 90's. They also competed for the anime market at that time. Their best material was/is probably "Street Fighter II - The Movie" and "Fatal Fury 2 OVA".

Besides also being based n a fighting game, Fatal Fury shares a similar art style to the one found in SF, and a somewhat similar plot, though I consider Fatal Fury 2 to be the best out of the two, and it's definitely the best thing to ever come out of Masami Obari.
