Well, in a few ways I see some similarities between these two series.
Both Medaka Box and Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. takes place in a school life setting. The main female protagonist in both series has a tough personality, is independent, and commands attention to herself and to others.
Both series' main male protagonist on the other hand seems to be aloof and wonders about every day life as if it's just a typical day, every day.
