number24 and haikyuu are similar because they are both shounen sports anime. haikyuu is volleyball, and number24 is rugby. both focus on many characters' developments, and relationships with other team members. both participate in tournaments. both also have a lot of boyxboy ships in the fanbases ! if you like one, i'm sure you'll like the other.

both are shounen stories based around music. but they are different in a way that given is shounen ai and focuses on a relationship between two boys, and piano no mori isn't (offically) romance but also focuses on the relationship and rivalry around two pianists (basically a non-canon ship). if you liked one of these, you're probably going to like the other.

both are (really funny) comedic romances, with different characters and love plots to follow; although sounding a bit daunting, very easy to keep up with. love triangles/squares and rivals in both.
