This is the first review ive ever written on this platform and ive come to give my honest opinon on this anime, One Piece.
One piece has a good story with good world building ( alotta people misunderstand this word) and also amazing flashbacks.
But here comes the main part
One piece started off really good, with introduicing new characters, their backstory, and alabsta which was really unique, and skypiea which i honestly enjoyed but many poeple skip and find boring. Then comes my problem. Ennies lobby is pure recency bias. the first half was really boring and all the ennies lobby hype was from the second

half, which made me think a lil off about this anime. the later arcs like impel down and marinefold were really good but still there remained one HUGE PROBLEM.
1. THE PACING
2. EXTENDED NPC FIGHTS
the extended npc fights part goes on till wano at present. i get the fact that manga hs better pacing but i dont understand why anime watchers just rant about this being the best shonen ever and all other kinda bs. Every Single Arc starts off good with character introduction and exploring the city and what not but then comes THE LONG CHAIN OF NPC FIGHTS! AND MOST OF THE SHOW IS JUST NPC FIGHTS. The villains are reallty good so id say its somewhat worth the wait for the final fight, but still the pacing makes the fights worse.
Overall? 8.5/10, if i would recommend? i guess, with caution. i can already hear one piece fans running over to me just to shit talk on my opinion. i never said one piece is bad, its just not as good as they say... its very inconsistent, every arc gets very boring at one point, and coming this far, literally i started every single arc expecting it to get boring at some point. wano stayed unique and good, except when the good fight is going on, it switches to the boring extended af npc fight.
i guess this is it for my first review ever, one piece is decent and any one whod call it a 10/10 masterpiece hasnt seen any other tv show. im not the kinda guy to gatekeep an anime or dickride its hype.
