If you're watching it, you probably already know the protagonist can transform into a monster, so that element doesn't add many surprises. Additionally, the anime starts off a bit slower since a lot of time is spent establishing the setting and overall feeling of the town. But trust me, this all changes very quickly. You will find that the show goes DEEP into the characters' lives and backgrounds for very specific reasons in addition to developing the plotline of the present day.
With that said, this show is extremely engaging, filled with mystery, and keeps you asking questions and wanting more. If you enjoy monster
...
action, suspense, relationships, and character development, then watching this show will be a no-brainer! It incorporates the aforementioned elements in a very integrated way. At times, it tugs at your heartstrings. At times, it shakes your sense of morality. At times, you think you have it figured out, and at times, you realize it's a lot deeper than that.
A minor annoyance of this anime is that there is unnecessary fan service especially in the first couple of episodes. But this becomes less prominent as the story unfolds.
So if you like being able to speculate and learn about the story as the plot progresses, don't hesitate to give this one a try! What are you waiting for?!

Toradora, one of the most popular tsundere anime out there. While it definitely had the tsundere aspects down, there were a couple of things that were out of place. Overall, it was a decent anime!
I personally didn't quite enjoy the anime as much because the situations the characters encounter could have been easily resolved in better ways. Maybe that's just the practical side of me speaking...
Another aspect of it that was slightly off-putting was the element of drama. The characters could be fine in one instant and be cry intensely in the next. However, if roller coaster dramatic events are your kind of thing,
...
this anime may be for you!
The character development was also not that prevalent, and the viewers are not given insight to the other characters nearly as much as the main two.
However, the grand ending was one that could be considered "bitter-sweet" and "romantic". While I think the twist at the end was unnecessary, and the characters could have definitely gone about it differently, when looking at the greater picture, it is hopeful and has the element of young naiive love.
I hope you enjoyed this review, and hopefully it was helpful. Thanks for reading!

Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei was quite an enjoyable watch!
Right off the bat, though, it must be mentioned that this anime is not for everyone! I say this for a couple of reasons.
1. The main character (protagonist) is extremely talented, borderline perfect. He is a very talented magician and engineer with only a minor flaw.
2. There is a lot of dialogue explaining the theories behind the magic used.
3. There is a hint of incest between the main character and his younger sister.
In any case, some of the same points mentioned above can be reasons one would like the anime.
As for
...
one, I enjoyed watching the main character. Although he is very talented and intellectually gifted, he lacks a fundamental skill: the physical manipulation of magic. Throughout the anime, it can be observed that the main character works around his limitations by using his other skills to the max. It is his thinking process and the way he works through a predicament that makes the story and conflicts interesting, despite his character being near-perfect. It is also interesting to see how the plot slowly reveals how much power this character possesses. (It's almost as if the main character is a little mysterious, and you slowly uncover the mystery as you watch the anime.)
As for another, I feel that the theories and explanations regarding the magic used in a fight, or a newest invention, really makes the anime more realistic. It shows that magic is really contingent on science. It shows that magic is not only an innate ability, but also a system that involves science and technology. Hearing the hypothetical theories and analysis of magic used in fights is quite interesting and makes it seem more logical and practical.
As for incest... well, I can't say I approve of it, but their interaction, if you overlook that they are siblings, was quite sweet, even if it is a bit edgy, in a romantic sense.
Overall, this anime is not only technical from a logical perspective, but also includes the fantasy aspects, such as a lot of magic.
So, if you enjoy slowing finding out about a character as the anime progresses, this anime is for you. If you enjoy watching characters plan and problem solve, this anime is for you. If you enjoy reasoning, and you just like to hear what some would consider to be "textbook boring" dialogue, then this anime is for you! If you enjoy sweet sibling interactions, this anime is also for you!
I hope you enjoyed this review, and hopefully it was helpful. Thanks for reading!

Yahari Ore no Sishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Zoku really is an enjoyable watch.
To me, the dialogue/thoughts of the characters contributed a lot to the story. This is especially true for the main character, Hachiman. His quirky, dark, and dry humor as well as philosophy is quite relatable, and his thought process is fun to follow.
In fact, all the characters, themselves, are also very unique and interesting to understand. The character development is integrated well in this anime. This is especially true in the second season, when events and relationships start to deepen, but change (for the better or worse?).
If you
...
enjoy a nice romcom, light, yet slightly dramatic, then this anime is for you. If you enjoy growing with the characters in an anime, then this anime is definitely for you. (Less importantly, if you have a somewhat satirical, pessimistic view on life, this anime is also for you.)
Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy!
