hooray for weird mould defying anime :)
I really liked this anime although the artwork might not have been the best and sometimes it is hard to entirely understand the main character. ;p Maybe that's 'cause I'm not a tanuki?

Personally I liked the second season more than the first season because the first season was struggle street for pretty much all of the main characters. And while you got really attached to them it also felt a little frustrating.

The second season definitely changes things up and unravels a lot of the mysteries that underlied actions/backgrounded characters in the first season. As well as fleshing out almost read more

Tohru (the heroine) is the kind hardworking type. she has one of those slightly annoying female voices though, the one's that are just a bit too high, I;m sure you know what I mean. it uses the animals from the chinese zodiac, included the cat which was apparently left out of the zodiac. It swaps between being a two guys like one girl romance to a slightly surreal family fued situation with dark backgrounding.
Like many animes with two love interests though it doesn't finish! which pisses me off to no end.
So if you want to see the end and probably a much longer story read read more

This anime is amazing. blatantly a harem anime it is still an amazingly funny comedy and a super cute romance though tamaki seems to get dumber after the first couple of eps... my friend pointed out to me that the kite represents haruhis respect for tamaki and i really enjoyed knowing this watching the anime. One major downside: it doesn't finish. My advice: READ THE MANGA.

The music is absolutely wonderful, especially "aimo". It has really nice colouring, esp. sheryl's hair, and lighting and a pretty good overall story.
The romantic aspect was a bit annoying for me though. 1 guy is liked by two girls for the whole 25 eps with no resolution. and the amount of times I heard "it's all thanks to you alto-kun" hurt.

touching, musically awesome and amazing sci fi ideas though :)
It has two older prequels if people would rather start from the begining but I haven't seen them yet.
