- Similarly, both plot are set during the Meiji era. - Both female protagonists are neglected by their family, due to a different reason (except in Firefly Wedding, wherein the father didn't neglect her). - Both male protagonists has bad reputation in their community, FOR A REASON. - Both male protagonists possess overpowered combat skills, and the brutality of their murdering is nearly comparable. - Both male protagonists acts as a knight and shining armour typa character, in a way that they save the female protagonist from a dangerous situation. Eventually, they gradually develops romantic feelings for the female protagonist. It's giving "it's you and me against this world" vibe. - The main goal & theme of both manga is "marriage".

Himuro reminds me so much of Takeo. Both characters has this very cute internal monologue for their loved ones. Also, if you want your heart being ripped to shreds with each episode, realizing how lonely and single you are, then I would recommend watching both series.

After completing the film, I am flabbergasted at how few (actually 1 at the moment) commented on how 'Night On The Galactic Railroad' actually reminded them of the award-winning film 'Spirited Away'. Both films parallels one another in many aspects such as the train, souls traveling to a different dimension, getting back to reality. Overall, both are very confusing at first but that's what make both film interesting.
