Code Geass is the Dante's inferno of anime. We see LeLouch make his final stand and we see constant sacrifices and tragedies that occur to our protagonist. We see that the complex situation he is in results in LeLouch's ultimate demise. Code Geass is a story of sacrifice, the theory of equal exchange. Will you sacrifice it all? Will your burden the pain? Will you become the villain of your own story? Will you change the world? Questions that LeLouch asks himself constantly and questions that he can never answer. Code Geass is truly a one ... of a kind and is a show that may have some "cringe" edgy moments, still withholds its meaning. Truly a one of a kind show.

Stunned, astonished, shocked, in awe. All of these are phrases that could be used to describe my watching experience of Great Pretender.

Masterfully written characters with insane plot twists that take sharp lefts and rights every single minute of the show, Great Pretender is one of the few shows that I can comfortably say that I had no complaints watching. The music was absolutely fantastic, the jazzy OP and the soundtracks fit right with the general vibrance of the show's aesthetic, but also the playful nature that we feel from the primary crew. Everything about this show is a must-watch and is undoubtedly one of the ... best pieces of animation that we will see this decade.

10/10, ANYONE will love this show.

This anime literally just panders to incel weebs who couldn't talk to female for a living, honestly this anime is kind of cringe and unrealistic. The male lead is one of the most embarrassingly poorly written characters I've watched, there is no backstory on why the girls like him to begin with and all of the females are subservient and even the tsundere girl gives in to his demands.

Unlike the yahari ore no seishun, which also had an unlikable male lead, Hachiman was never the "dominant" male in the story that had everyone subservient to him, despite being characterized as a loser with excessive ... amounts of edge, but still remained likable due to his character progression and gradual interactions with other characters. There is nothing remotely close to relationship progression or any of that sort in this anime.

There is nothing appealing or romantic about this anime and would highly not recommend it.

Toradora is great, sweet. Romance is genuine and the character development feels natural.

Now that's out of the way, Toradora's charm for me all were found in moments outside of Taiga and Ryuuji. The scenes pertaining to family, abandonment, and themes of isolation in times of insecurity is what really brought out the tissues. A lot of these themes play powerful roles in the development and understanding we have of the protagonist and resonated with me on a very personal level.

Toradora isn't just an anime about love, but provides us with notions of platonic love, brotherly love, family love, and unconditional love.

This anime is special and ... has a special place in my heart and I strongly recommend everyone to watch it.

For starters: Yes. Nisekoi has a cliche premise.
However, I would like to stress that despite this I found the story to be incredibly dense with character and the "moments" that can be seen throughout the manga can be described as meaningful. The manga is incredibly well paced and one of the strongest suits of Nisekoi was the character development.

Nisekoi was the only manga, story, or any other literary work that made me feel invested in the characters to such an extent and it was because of the reality is presented itself with. The characters stayed true to what we the audience expected them to do, ... but express change that can be clearly realized at the end of the story. Readers will not feel like characters have changed as they progress, but the ending provides readers with a realization of development and change.

That's what makes Nisekoi so beloved to me, it's not the love, it's not the romance. It's dynamic between characters that makes it so charming.
